What Has Been Eye-opening to Me?
Something that has been eye-opening to me was visiting the New Hope Care Center. I visited New Hope with my classmates from my past school, St. Bernard's. All of the middle school students went around Christmas time to sing carols to the people that resided there. It was sad for me to see that no one visited the old folk during the holiday season, but also made me realize how just one positive person can change your day. I went home from that trip knowing that are a lot of sad people in the world, but also that if you're positive and upbeat, you can bring at least one person a ray of light.

Something Life Changing for Me
|
One of the biggest events that I have experienced that was life changing for me was the COVID-19 pandemic. Not only was it life changing for me, but for everyone world-wide. I learned so many new things because of this pandemic. One of the most important things I learned was that not everyone in the world lives in a stable/healthy environment. After seeing so many people struggle because of this virus, meaning not being able to access the medical help they need, I realized that I want to study to be in the medical field. That is partly why I am in the Ag/Sci program, because science takes such a big part in medicine. COVID-19 not only opened my eyes to the lack of medical care, in some parts of the world, but also to the world of possibilities that can be reached through medicine.
